Mantis - Spotlight Room

This section requires the use of Axl and Lightning to acquire Zero's Glaive weapon

This section does not render properly in some copies of the PC release, making the spotlights invisible.

There are spotlights in this section. If you get caught, security walls come down and halt your progress until clearing the area.

Avoid the spotlights, but around the third or fourth set of lights, before dropping down, switch to Axl for one of the humanoid reploids. Defeat it using Axl's Copy Shot, and pick up the dropped copy form.

Before the stage path takes you down, don't go down - climb the left wall. There should be a single sleeping guard at the top. Use the acquired copy ability and then use it's special attack facing the guard - Axl will Salute, the guard will wake up to salute back, and let you into the generator room.

Use about 4 lightning attacks from Axl spaced out on the generator. Once the lights are on, STOP SHOOTING IT. It is possible to shoot it too many times destroying it.

With the lights on there may be more to do in 100%

With the lights on return to the main path and continue to the bottom path and go right. DO NOT LEAVE THE SCREEN. Use Zero's double jump to a platform just before the door (it will not spawn in the dark room). There is a rare metal above the screen at the door. This is Zero's D. Glaive.
